RICHES
Riches are material wealth, possessions, earnings, or abundance. Scripture treats wealth as neither inherently good nor evil, but warns against trusting in it, boasting of it, or setting the heart upon it.
Biblical Usage
Scripture says riches are transitory, not to be trusted in, gloried in, or made the object of the heart’s desire. They are also described as coming from God and as a possible crown of the wise. Material riches can illustrate spiritual abundance and glory.
