Salmon
Salmon was the father of Boaz and an ancestor of Jesus Christ. The name also identifies a wooded hill near Shechem mentioned in Judges and Psalms.
Biblical Usage
Salmon the man appears in the ancestry of Jesus through Boaz. The hill Salmon is mentioned in connection with Abimelech’s gathering of wood and in the imagery of Psalm 68.
