Salt, Valley of
The Valley of Salt was a battlefield in the region between Judah and Edom, where David’s forces and later Amaziah defeated the Edomites.
Biblical Usage
David or his commander defeated the Edomites in this area, and Amaziah later killed ten thousand Edomites there. The biblical references are also associated with the title of Psalm 60.
