Samothrace
Samothrace was a mountainous island in the northern Aegean Sea, south of Thrace and northwest of Troas. Paul sailed past it on his journey from Troas to Neapolis.
Biblical Usage
Paul sailed directly from Troas to Samothrace and continued the next day to Neapolis during his first journey to Europe. A return journey may also have included a landing there.
