Shealtiel
Shealtiel was the father of Zerubbabel and belonged to the royal line connected with the restoration after the exile. He is also called Salathiel in Greek forms of the name.
Biblical Usage
Shealtiel is named in the records of the return and restoration as the father of Zerubbabel. Chronicles also identifies him as the oldest son of Jeconiah, while another reading names Pedaiah as Zerubbabel’s father.
