STORE-CITIES
Store-cities were fortified centers used as depots for provisions and magazines for arms. Pharaoh compelled the Israelites to build such cities, including Pithom and Raamses.
Biblical Usage
Store-cities appear in the account of Israel’s oppression in Egypt, where their construction formed part of the labor imposed by Pharaoh.
