Taphon
Taphon was a city in Judea fortified by Bacchides during the Maccabean period. It may have been the same place as Beth-tappuah.
Biblical Usage
Taphon is mentioned in the account of Bacchides’ fortification of Judean cities in 1 Maccabees.
