Tekoa, Tekoah
Tekoa was a town of Judah south of Jerusalem and the birthplace of the prophet Amos. Joab also obtained a wise woman from Tekoa to present an appeal to David concerning Absalom.
Biblical Usage
Joab obtained a wise woman from Tekoa, who presented an apologue to David in order to encourage the king to bring Absalom back to Jerusalem. Amos was also from Tekoa.
