Thessalonians, Epistles to the
The Epistles to the Thessalonians are two letters written by Paul to the church at Thessalonica. They encourage holy living and faithful endurance, and address questions concerning Christ’s return and the day of the Lord.
Biblical Usage
The first letter responds to reports about the Thessalonian church and emphasizes purity and sanctification. The second corrects the belief that the day of Christ was already at hand and teaches that the apostasy must first arise.
