THRASAEUS
Thraseus was the father of Apollonius mentioned in 2 Maccabees 3:5. The Greek reading is uncertain, and some have suggested that the name or phrase may instead refer to Apollonius of Tarsus.

The name appears only in the Maccabean notice identifying Apollonius by his father, Thraseus.
