Timothy was Paul’s trusted coworker and spiritual son in the ministry. The son of a believing Jewish mother and a Greek father, he accompanied Paul, served churches, and later received pastoral instruction through Paul’s letters.
Biblical Usage
Timothy accompanied Paul on missionary journeys, helped strengthen churches, and served as his representative. Paul addressed pastoral instruction to him and called him his true or beloved child in the faith.
