Topheth
Topheth was a place in the Valley of Hinnom near Jerusalem. It became infamous as a site where children were sacrificed by fire to Molech and was later defiled during Josiah’s reforms.
Biblical Usage
The prophets used Topheth as a place of judgment, calling the valley a valley of slaughter. Josiah defiled it during his religious reforms.
