TRANSFIGURATION
The Transfiguration was the moment when Jesus’ appearance became radiant before Peter, James, and John, while Moses and Elijah appeared and the Father’s voice identified Him as His beloved Son. It confirmed Jesus’ divine glory and His fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets before His death and resurrection.
Biblical Usage
The event marked a decisive point before Jesus’ death. Moses and Elijah represented the Law and the prophets, while the Father’s voice confirmed Jesus’ mission. It strengthened the disciples’ faith and indicated that His approaching death would not defeat His God-given work.
