Trinity
The Trinity is the Christian doctrine that there is one God who eternally exists as three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Though the word itself is not found in Scripture, the doctrine is derived from its united testimony.
Biblical Usage
The doctrine affirms God’s unity, the distinct divine personhood of the Father, the true deity and distinction of Jesus Christ, and the distinct divine personhood of the Holy Spirit.
