Trogyllium
Trogyllium was a promontory and anchorage on the coast of Asia Minor opposite Samos. Paul’s ship passed the area during his return journey to Jerusalem, though some ancient manuscripts omit the reference to stopping there.
Biblical Usage
According to the King James Version and the American Revised Version margin, Paul’s ship tarried at Trogyllium while returning from his third missionary journey. Several early manuscripts omit that wording; nevertheless, Paul evidently passed the promontory and probably stopped there.
