Trumpets
Trumpets were used by Israel’s priests to announce festivals, gather the people, signal movements, and proclaim war. Trumpet sounds also appear as important symbols in Revelation.
Biblical Usage
Silver trumpets were especially associated with the priests, while rams’ horns were also used. Trumpets accompanied festivals, solemn assemblies, offerings, and the announcement of special seasons. Trumpets are also among the symbols used in Revelation.
