TUBIAS
Tubias was a region in Gilead where, during the Maccabean period, Jewish men were killed and their families were taken captive by Gentiles. It is associated with the biblical land of Tob.
Biblical Usage
In 1 Maccabees 5:13, one thousand Jewish men were slaughtered there by Gentiles, while their wives and children were carried away captive.
