Azubah was the wife of Caleb son of Hezron and mother of children named in Judah's genealogy.
Biography
First Chronicles 2:18-19 names Azubah in the genealogy of Caleb son of Hezron. The passage associates her with Caleb's sons and says that after Azubah died Caleb married Ephrath, who bore Hur. The compressed genealogical wording has interpretive difficulties, and Scripture provides no independent narrative about Azubah.
Biblical Significance
Azubah's significance is genealogical within the families of Judah. Her record should remain modest because Scripture gives little personal information.
