Biography

Exodus 6:23 says Aaron married Elisheba daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon. She bore Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. Two sons died after offering unauthorized fire, while the priestly line continued especially through Eleazar. Scripture gives no independent narrative or speech for Elisheba.

Biblical Significance

Elisheba links Aaron's priestly household with the prominent Judahite family of Amminadab and Nahshon. Her importance is principally genealogical in the formation of Israel's priestly line.
