Eunice was Timothy's Jewish mother, a sincere believer who helped transmit knowledge of Scripture to him.
Biography
Acts 16 describes Timothy as the son of a believing Jewish woman and a Greek father. Second Timothy names his mother as Eunice and his grandmother as Lois, praising the sincere faith that first lived in them and then in Timothy. Paul also reminds Timothy that from childhood he had known the sacred writings, naturally fitting the influence of this faithful household. Scripture gives no information about Eunice beyond these references.
