Tobit

Tobit is portrayed as an Israelite living in exile who practices charity, gives alms, and buries fellow Jews despite danger. After becoming blind, he prays in distress. The narrative intertwines his family with Sarah's and follows the journey of his son Tobias under the disguised guidance of the angel Raphael. Tobit's sight is ultimately restored. The book is canonical in Catholic and Orthodox traditions but not in the Jewish or Protestant canon.
