Biblical references to angels span both Testaments. They announce divine messages, protect and guide God's servants, execute judgments, worship God, and appear at decisive moments in redemptive history. Scripture names Michael and Gabriel, while most angels remain unnamed. The Bible distinguishes faithful angels from rebellious spiritual beings and never presents angels as objects of worship. Biblical Significance
