Very little can be said with confidence about the particular religious practices of Maacah. Its association with Aramean neighbors suggests participation in the broader cultural world of southern Syria and the northern Levant.

It would be misleading to assign specific deities, temples, or inscriptions to Maacah without evidence.

Excavations at Abel Beth Maacah reveal varied local, Israelite, Phoenician, and possible Aramean influences, but those finds cannot simply be labeled Maacathite.
