Afflictions
Afflictions are trials and sufferings common to human life. God may use them to discipline, test, strengthen, and glorify Him through the patient endurance of His people.
Biblical Usage
Afflictions are said to be common to all, yet beneficial to God’s people. They can test faith, produce endurance, and contribute to God’s glory and the everlasting good of believers in Christ. The Lord’s people are called to bear them patiently.
