Carve
To carve is to engrave or shape wood, stone, metal, or other materials. Carving was used in the tabernacle, temple, priestly garments, and idols.
Biblical Usage
Carving was practiced in the construction of the tabernacle and temple and in the ornamentation of priestly garments. Isaiah describes the carving and shaping of wooden idols.
