Ramesses VI ruled during a period when Egypt's influence abroad was contracting and royal authority at home was weakening. He nevertheless completed important monuments and constructed an elaborate royal tomb in the Valley of the Kings.

c. 1137-1130 BC

Ramesses VII was a short-reigning pharaoh of the later 20th Dynasty, a period marked by economic hardship and declining central authority. Relatively little is known about the events of his reign compared with those of the earlier Ramesside kings.

20th Dynasty

c. 1130-1129 BC

Ramesses VIII had one of the shortest and least documented reigns of the 20th Dynasty. Few monuments can be securely attributed to him, and even the location of his royal tomb remains uncertain.
